This year, I think, is more polarising, with people liking one group and not the other and, going into that further, not liking any group as a whole, so it's not as 'easy' to see them interact. Also last year has a clearly defined 'good' group and 'bad' group. At this point it was clear the 'good' group would win out. It's not as obvious this year and, for many (though not all), Nathan seemingly being vindicated is leaving a bitter taste in the mouth too.

True, there are more shades of grey this year which is arguably a good thing but it also means I'm not
that enthused about any of them
