If someone (not you) is going to parrot what the press and media say without expanding on their actual thoughts then I think it's only fair to ask them to expand what they mean. They are not obliged to answer, but it's not unreasonable to ask.

The thing is, if you're (not you) going to use words, at least know why you're using them. If you can't explain the definition, which many people who use the term woke can't, then stop using it. And if you don't want to stop, then don't cry when people take you to task.
