My brother owns a small piece of land in a small village it sits in a triangle between three roads
Years ago people would trespass, use it as a footpath
What a lot of people don’t know is if someone trips on that path you own the land they can take every penny you own

My brother fenced up the path for that reason and because it was people trespassing

He got a letter from the council with a number of people demanding the foot path be re opened

My brother responded that with it was trespass and a make shift short cut

The previous owner who was old had a sigh up saying private

My brother said he would open up access at the narrower end and the council would take on responsibility for the path

The council continued on with their investigation but after speaking to the tramps that wants to use this short cut none of them could say exactly were the path was located

So my brother won they would have to walk around it rather than take an illegal short cut
