Cobra Kai 11/10. If any producer wants a lesson on how to turn a classic movie franchise into tv series, they should watch cobra Kai.

Finished the whole run (4 seasons) of The Bridge, Swedish/Danish police drama. The woman who plays the lead is phenomenal. Didn't even matter if was subtitled. Would highly recommend it.

…I tried watching that yesterday evening….I think that I was on episode 4-ish of the first season because they’re very short/quick episodes…?..I just couldn’t get into it though and put it aside…(…sorry…)…it felt very slow and I didn’t really feel invested in the characters…

…I’ve just begun to watch Zero Day, the new Netflix series with Robert De Niro …it’s a great cast and an interesting storyline about a global cyber attack…so far, very good…

I only watched The Walking Dead last year for the first time and I'm totally a fan now.

FYI, there's also a Walking Dead spinoff on Amazon Prime that's not bad about a group of teenagers. It's called The World Beyond. In case you haven't noticed it.

The Governor was better. The show fell off a lot when Negan was introduced.

Tbf I think what ultimately makes it the best is that Norman Reedus can carry episodes on his own (and always could in old TWD) - doesn't even need to say much, he's just a very... watchable post-apocalyptic character. Unfortunately for the other two spin-offs,

While I like both Maggie and Negan, their dynamic is simultaneously weird and irritating... I have no issue with Maggie never getting over what Negan did to Glenn, and no issue with Negan being remorseful about it, but do we need to see them hash it out FOREVER? It felt like TWD left it where it can only end up ... that she accepted he had changed and no longer wanted him dead, but could never forget or forgive and so couldn't live anywhere near him. The spin off felt like, all those years later, somehow they were slipping back to BEFORE the TWD ending .

Rick and Michonne... both could carry episodes alone back in TWD but something's off in the spin off. With Rick especially - it feels like he "forgot" the character, and he definitely forgot the accent wtf. He was straight up annoying for 80% of the spin off series, improved in the last few eps but that was it. And the sex scene is still one of the worst things that's ever been televised .
