Yes, Mickey was playing on the slur. I thought he made that pretty clear based on the chat they were having.

…it’s interesting isn’t it, that it’s that word/slur that seems to be the main focus of that Mickey dialogue…not just as a contentious talking point but also for JoJo, it felt…?…when before that, he had said that she wouldn’t be a lesbian anymore, so basically inferring that he would have sex with her if they were there more than 4 days…and when she said that wouldn’t happen and laughed it off, he said he would tie her up….

I'm hoping that he meant that Ella or Angelica had volunteered to have Fifty Shades Of Grey styled sex with Jojo, but he got tongue tied and made himself look like the creep.

It was all said tongue in cheek ( as he explained later ) plus he was smiling all the time

I think it was probably just his sense of humour that didn’t quite hit the mark


Then that comment suggesting that he could turn her given a few more days is something straight guys have always said jokingly to or about lesbians .. its that old fashioned / outdated style of humour

…that sort of ‘humour’ is something that you would have to know someone very well to know how they would take it and that it wouldn’t offend…he not only doesn’t know JoJo but inferred that he wasn’t keen on her …and if you’re saying that it’s something that’s specifically said about lesbians…?…then it’s targeting and it’s prejudice and there’s no two ways with that so a warning was absolutely the correct call…

…I’m assuming nothing, Zizu…I know nothing of him or his lifestyle etc but that doesn’t change anything of what was said…I’m not sure if you’re assuming that it would or does but I’m not…

I thought that was going to be the warning initially because he was basically discussing converting someone potentially against their will, using ropes(!).
