Trump has apparently imposed tariffs on an island off the coast of Australia inhabited by penguins and no humans have been there in 10 years

yes, heard that just now too on the news

can't blame China for doing the same to America, we'll see what the effect of that will be at Wall Street i think

it is good for America to only have their businesses in their own country, however the negative side to this is, many foreign businesses moving out of the country obviously, which will also lead to people losing their current jobs, and then those people will need to go through job interviews again, so i'm not too sure if there are more jobs for americans

since u have the likes of

Boeing, Renault, Toyota, Audi and many more all big foreign companies very likely no longer being in America after all this

so yes, the EU are correct, there are only losers with this

I read Congress can vote this down, as the US constitution gives it powers over taxes and trade.

Trump had to declare a national emergency to set tariffs, and he used the Fentanyl smuggling across the Mexico and Canada borders to do that - but the Congress can limit time it is effective for.

nothing has really come out of congress since trump took over. All he does is create an executive order and thats challenged in court going up to the supreme court. His aim is to make congress irrelevant

Congress is full of people who will and can cash out the moment the wind blows the wrong direction, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on what they're capable of. They'll do what is expedient for their own necks in the end. Each session their political will has gotten weaker. And right now, Republicans have control and no real reason to risk their own hide going against the base where they'll be accused of trying to stop his agenda.

China have started selling US long term bonds that they hold. The price has dropped like a stone. This has big implications on the USA getting future investments for any of its projects

I suspect we will have to repeal and abolish the 2010 Equality Act, in order to get a deal, then it will be lawful to be racist and misogynistic.

Maybe the UK will also have to agree that Ukraine started the War with Russia?
