No it is not, not being a "girly-girl" isn't that rare ffs and it certainly isn't new. And what is wrong with being a tomboy?

Why are you avoiding answering the question? What is wrong with not being a "girly-girl"? Why is it such an issue for you?

But that's been a sub-culture with women for decades at this point.

Either way I don't get why some people are finding Tomboys a foreign concept lol. I saw two people on YouTube a couple of days ago do the same thing as Zizu, only through the lens of Trans identity instead of sexual attraction.

It is strange how so many very regular things suddenly became foreign entities in the past decade.

…I would have said that Willow’s styling…(Pink!’s daughter…)…is a style that Pink! herself is known for as well…that kind of tee shirt and baggy combat/comfy look and multiple generations have had similar versions for their time…I’ve often worn the ‘baggy look’ myself because it’s comfortable and cute…and many females who would be considered as ‘feminine’ in their styling have also chosen shaved or very short hair at times as well…but yeah, I would say that with Willow…?…her style influence is possibly her mom….

Based on what you’ve said you’ve just shown regardless of parenting, they are tomboyish.

Maybe , maybe not .. Our granddaughters are/were brought up the traditional way … so they are what they are . Pink apparently uses a different way .. maybe as mentioned above Willow( Pink’s daughter) has simply been influenced by her mum’s dress sense/ style or maybe Pink actively encourages her daughter to be ‘different’ ? We may never know On that note I shall remove myself from this conversation … its going nowhere Last edited by Zizu; Today at 07:10 AM. |

…but also it’s how we interpret a look/style…it’s a cute look as much as a tomboy one… Last edited by Ammi; Today at 07:13 AM. |

Zizu has removed himself from the conversation. You can stop brow-beating him now.

Pink seems to be using willow as a fashion accessory.

For what purpose though, who cares if a girl likes to wear dresses or jeans and a t shirt?

OK so I'm not saying that some celebrities (and some parents in general) aren't guilty of this, but...
...where is there any indication of this? If it's just that she's been influenced by her mother's style a bit, that isn't unusual at all, I can't see where there's any indication that it's been led or forced by parent-influence? Unless there's more info I'm not aware of beyond a few pictures. Seems a huge assumption if it's just going by the similar style. |

Just do a Google image search for pink and willow, in most of the pics willow is dressed in the same style as her mother. No baggy jeans visible when pink is in a dress...and no dress when pink is dressed more casually. Last edited by Beso; Today at 11:11 AM. |

Again, she could be, it does happen, wee boys kitted out in the sports team top of their dad's choosing is a key example, I just don't think it's possible to say either way from pictures whether it's a case of "You will dress like me, child!" or "I want to dress like you, mum!". |
