For years, Molly’s behaviour had a detrimental effect on Sarah’s relationship with her brother. ‘She pitted us against each other, one day it was me who was the best in the world, the next day it was Jack, to the point we didn’t like being around each other,’ she explains. ‘We’d get punished for doing nothing and sometimes if I got into trouble, she’d take it out on Jack physically and tell him it was because I had done something. You can’t have a relationship with your sibling in those circumstances.’
…I do t think that she was more unscathed by any of it, I think it’s probably for me, more that they were both so young at the time through their whole experience of Molly in their lives etc and what led up to the brutal killing of their father…that it’s taken them differing times and ways of processing it all etc…that’s been their own individual journeys and two year age difference at that time in their lives with their awarenesses etc was quite huge…

What I mean by unscathed, is that she just seems mentally stronger than Jack, when they were travelling to the second trial and they played Jasons favourite song, Jack was in bits but Sarah just stared out the window, she has written a book now as well about her experience which will be somewhat cathartic
