This is what gets me with PAYE - when it's pervious years' tax miscalculations, they can seemingly very easily "adjust your code" to TAKE a bit extra each month to pay off an underpayment... and yet... mysteriously there's no such code adjustment to reimburse an overpayment.

The system even for current year fluctuations is absolute trash as well if you're on more than one payroll, it's supposed to be seamless but it simply is NOT, I've had lump sum rebates paid WHILST still having a monthly deduction for a previous underpayment. Like... if it's all in one system just balance it out??
