If I find cash alone, I tend to keep it, though once I found a £10 note sticking out of the change slot in a self checkout and I gave it to the person manning them incase the person before me returned. But if I found a £10 on lying on the ground I think I’d pick it up and pocket it tbh.
If I find belongings I try and find out who it belongs to and return it or if it was found in a shop, hand it in.
I found a passport in a park once and searched for the girls social media and contacted her on that and returned it to her house. She was really rude about it.
I was going out for the day and said I would go round that evening to drop it off once I was back from my day out and she said “I want it returned immediately”
She didn’t even say thank you.
