This is correct, they have fitting rooms in both male and female departments and let either use either due to it being individual and lockable.

A pic taken during covid, yes. Just of the fact some fittings rooms are labelled 'Women's' to counter your image and the insinuation men have their own spaces and women do not.

Just a quick google bought it up. I am not weird enough to go into M&S and start taking photos of changing rooms.

Looked at my local store - changing room has images of women at entrance and is in women's section of store but does not indicate it is for women. Just says Fitting Room. Same for the men's - images of men at entrance.

Don't know about lingerie section changing room. Suspect changing rooms are mixed sex despite mixed message.

MARKS & Spencer has confirmed their bra fitting service is for customers and
staff who are “biological” women after a transgender row at a Scots store, it
can be revealed.

It comes amid the backlash over a trans employee leaving a teenager “freaked
out” after offering her help in the bra section at a store in Ayr.

They confirmed the statement referred to “biological female”.

Human Rights charity Sex Matters says the retailer has prioritised the “feelings
of men” over their female customers, who make up almost 60 per cent of their
customer base.

“No matter how well-intentioned, policies built on the falsehood that ‘trans
women are women’ inevitably compromise other people’s rights.

Fiona McAnena, director of campaigns for the human rights charity Sex Matters, which campaigns for clarity about biological sex in law and life, said
“This is what happens when a business centres the feelings of men who identify as women, even at the expense of their own customers. It is entirely inappropriate for a man to approach a teenage girl in a lingerie department.

This happened a few weeks before the HIgh Court ruling
The mother argued that the retailer’s reply fell “significantly short of the response that was required to satisfy me that M&S takes seriously the safety and dignity of women and girls”.

So just like Summerhall Arts, Marks and Spencer has now backed down as soon
as they realised they would be hit in the pocket - certain "principles" seem to
go out the window rather quickly when it comes to 💰
