You’ve made it abundantly clear you have no actual significant interaction or knowledge on LGBT issues or it’s people, outside of what right wing media tells you - all you do is parrot the soundbites they do frequently. Not one single original thought. And I get it, I do, because I used to be the same.

You know, during Covid I got swept up in a right wing bubble and formulated the same opinions as many of you on trans people. I was reading Twitter every day as the Adam Brooks, Lawrence Foxes, Bev Turners etc… rallied against the government and their weird Covid rules. I watched your Turning Point USA, your Owen Shroyers, Charlie Kirk’s, Candace Owens. For a full year I got proper caught up in an echo chamber and so many of the beliefs I grew up with disappeared. I peddled all the same arguments I read on here all the time - on the trans debate, on social movements, on the left wing media …. (Although not on Trump, he’s always been a moron).

Over time I came to realise a lot of the people I would be parroting kept on misrepresenting the truth, or taking snippets of a wider story to manipulate into something bigger. The more I double checked what they were saying the more I realised how much it was happening. And so I took myself away from all media. I made an effort to meet and spend time with trans people and gain knowledge from their actual lived experience and what they want from life which is to simply exist safely.

That process of being on the same political side annd consuming right wing content and then not means I know exactly how they work, I was in it DEEP. I know what all the key soundbites are. And I know they’re not based in reality or experience or context or perspective. I know exactly how the right wing media and social influencers work and I see it here on the daily.

70% of people have never even knowingly met a trans person and yet about 50-60% of people seem to have extremely strong opinions against them. Go figure.

I had 2 trans women on my old window cleaning round, always had a chat and a cuppa ready for me.

You've merely flipped 90 degrees and are now believing your left wing algorithms as your truth.
