I don't know if the runners will grow crazy or not when it cools. I haven't paid that much attention to my grass post-summer in the past. I'm afraid to do anything too much because we're not completely cooled down enough yet so some of my grass is still dormant from August heat. I don't have any flowers yet But that sounds really nice and so nice to that to look forward to. I don't think I've ever seen an olive tree in person. Our climate may not be ideal.Soon I'm going to get the stuff to start edging/removing sod from around our Swamp Oak we have growing in the front yard. It needs a bit more breathing space, so plan to cut a big enough area so that I can plant other things in it as well as a small rock garden.

My neighbor runs a small landscaping business (delivering plants, flowers, etc) that they keep stored in their backyard. I've thought of starting an apiary at some point over the years, so thought about all the little flowers that will help feed the bees. I think they buy wholesale and then store it, then when they're not at their job, they take a truck out to the road to sell their goods. They enjoy it as a hobby and we are sort of exchange efforts around our hobbies/interests. Right now I'm working on helping them to grow some grass on the edge of their yard that sits underneath one of their trees. I think it originates from Mexico... but it probably needs a little cushion from the grass to stay hydrated. I've been planting St Augustine runners on their side and watering them and I don't mind to hit their sidewalk when I'm edging. Some of the others I've already planted are spreading, so hopefully by next year it'll actually be filled in... They were the ones who planted our Swamp Oak and occasionally he comes over to feed it and another plant he left for us on our property.

I have a bright yellow metallic flower that spins in my backyard and it's already starting to fade...
