I thought he said he’d like to get back with her he was telling me someone his situation and explained about the forced marriage to his cousin.. .. then said he loves his wife and son but then said he been exploring his bisexuality the last two years..

…my own understanding of what Gani has said is that he loves his wife and son and would stay in the marriage if she accepts him for who he is…his bisexuality, his career aspirations etc…a ‘this is me/take it or leave it…’….type deal…not a partnership of working together as such…

Also, and this isn't in response to you Amni at all, the rationalisation of first cousin marriage that I am seeing 'because that's how his culture does it' is nasty. Inbreeding is not a good thing. At the very least it puts the child at much higher risk of deformity. I don't care if it happens elsewhere... That does not make it ok to happen here and it should not be accepted under some false idea of 'multiculturalism'.
