Is it in your cooking plans this Easter or are you going to try something-else?

Still not 100% sure on what I’m doing yet but lamb probably will be involved at some point, even if it ends up being on Easter-Monday now. I don’t know.

So what leaner meat do you normally substitute in?

I am not a cook but can’t you simply cut the excess fat off or buy a leaner joint ? Apologies if I am talking utter hogwash Last edited by Zizu; 02-04-2026 at 06:11 PM. |

All the flavour of meat is in the fat, cutting it off is the last thing you want to do

All hail the Moyesiah
|
That should be on Good Friday
I might have lamb tomorrow but will need to go to the supermarket this evening and see if they have anything left. Got caught out last year thinking I'd buy everything on Easter Sunday itself and then all the supermarkets were closed |

Lamb plus chicken for those who aren’t as keen on lamb - plus the full Sunday roast accompaniments
