We were actually suprised to see Vinnie in there as he is a current celeb, unlike the usual hasbeens and wannabees that CBB normally has. While he isn't exactly a household name in North America, the majority of people would know who is when they saw him as he has been in some huge blockbuster movies. The only other celeb they'd know is Stephen, due to the Baldwin family and him continually being on reality shows.
As to why is he in the house, well didn't really have to do it for the money or fame as he already has both (although it's rumored that hes being paid $1 million). I heard that his son is currently in Afghanistan though and he is very worried about him so he decided to go on CBB to try and take his mind off it.
I am suprised by some of the reactions in this thread, especially as he was asked the questions by the other celebs and answered honestly. I'd have thought that the majority of Brits would support the guy for making it so big when he came from such a humble and troubled past.

My heart bleeds. Stop trying to portray him as some kind of victim who has battled the odds. He was a thug - accused of assault on many occasions. He even ended one guy's career. Bet they don't see him as a legend.
Let's just face it - many seem to admire aggressive, violent behaviour - just as long as it isn't directed at them I suspect.
