Clubbing should be about popping, coming up, and coming back down at 7 the next morning. Rave used to mean something. You would go out and spend about fifteen quid and you would still have one of the best nights of your life. It's all too corporate now. My generation has very little in the way of a meaningful culture.

Indeed, hardly have any good pubs left here either really. The pub culture is on it's knees. If I find the right pub I can just chill there all day, especially if there is a game on or something, always brings a good crowd. I don't really like locals but like it when you know a few people as well. But too many chain bars offering cheap cheap drinks now, and the alci's usually swarm over it and it becomes a dump. It's quite a sad thing seeing people que up at 9 am to get their first drink.
