We all went to school with bullies, (chances are). They didn't have to bully you for you to be afraid of them. Though they may never have picked on you, or intimidated you, you were intimidated by them because their reputation went before them. You knew better than to answer them back. Vinnie is the quintessential hard man, that's what he as on the football field, that's who he is in the movies, and most pointedly of all, that's who he is in real life.
He has 2 convictions for violent assault, and air rage. 2 more violent incidents, attacking a journalist, biting him on the nose, and a bar brawl in the States leaving him with severe lacerations on his face. You don't need to know any more about him to surmise that people are rightly intimidated by him. He rules by fear. If someone was foolish/brave enough to assert themselves before him, it's a fair bet they'd be on the reciving end of serious violence. This is how he reacts when pushed. He's a bully, by the very definition of the word. An out and out thug. (And I'm a Leeds fan!) |
