Oscar is a nickname for Academy award.

Golden Globes and Emmys are huge in America but not as big as Oscars.

BAFTA is a British big deal but still respected. Just not as well known globally.

Academy Award (ie Oscar) >> every other award ceromony combined.

I bet the producers of Brokeback Mountain would swap every single award they won in 2006 for the Oscar they were robbed of.

The oscars by far, I'd probably say it goes like this.

Academy Award>Golden Globe>BAFTA>Emmy

Emmy's the odd one out though since I'm pretty sure that's just TV awards and not film (I know Bafta has a TV awards show but they also do films like GG).
