I think the reason for that is usually down to the language used by some female responders to female housemates which come across as envious, jealous etc rather than rational and reasoned.

Of course the same could be said about men but the language used by women are usually related to characteristics that can be sexually appealing for men in terms of personality. Men give a reasoned response related to events and situations - women say something like "I know her type" etc.
