Then these become 40 second time-wasters when the forum is slow and people are trying to find news.
Then these 'joke topics' start pushing real topics off the page leading to more searching and pages and bandwidth.

I wouldn't mind if there was ANY SHRED of funny left in these but its now so lame as to become nearly qualified as 'Spamming'.
