I would remove the AShampoo program.(if you havent already done it).
Does it still freeze up when you load it up in safe mode? Try running ccleaner. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download You could also try the Last Known Good Configuration feature but that cant be undone, thats why I suggested system restore first.
