Yeah I heard similar things and life and your social groups (both family and friends) are thought to impact the type of people you're attracted to or at least fantasise about. For example in men if you lack a father figure its expected to turn you gay/bi and fantasise over older men, likewise with girls lacking a father figure and wanting an older boyfriend. The same also applies to lack of mother figure. And if you've got an older same sex sibling thats also meant to make you more prone to being gay.
Its all Freudian and it does sound really creepy with his explanations but in the wider picture, he does make a lot of sense with it.
