They don't need the word 'Channel' in the logo - even when it was Channel 5 before, the logo was just a 5. There is nothing wrong with their current branding.

that was done by the old owners RTL.

It is changing.

Except that branding was done by the previous owners It's too early to judge the logo, as we haven't seen it on screen yet (apparently it will launch on screen in January)
