It is plausible, ITV had done it before. Therefore they could do it again, they have the money to pay the fines - after all, these shows bring them in millions upon millions of £'s.

Strange how Katie had a contract in America and the XFactor bought her out of it eh, that gives them every reason to want to get their monies worth from her.
