I just think he was nervous on stage performing to so many people. In that video he seems really relaxed but it's probably because he doesn't have the added pressure of having to be outstanding. Of course he has to be somewhat good but it's not a necessity when you sing in a nightclub to be note perfect.

Hmm maybe. Mind in his audition too he didnt look like he wanted to kill everyone, and surely he would be nervous as hell then :/
