Let's get some categories established here. Cher-L is just one of 1000's of contestants who get to some Final in a Simon Production. He is and has been a major international celebrity/producer and probably billionaire with massive influence in the music industry. So 'who has the bigger decline' isn't exactly comparable between him and 'yet another' 16 year old wannabe-actress/singer. Which had the biggest fall? A famous mountain climber who slid 1 km down Everest? A teen who slipped down 1 stair? Like most people I 'loved to hate' Simon but most times I had to grudgingly agree he was honest and mostly right in his analysis. Not anymore. Week after week he can actually look a Cher, a Katie or an Aiden in the face and glurge about how they were one of the most perfect, greatest and most professional things he has ever witnessed on stage. WTF? But after that Mary/Vote thing I seriously wonder if he has just lost touch with reality and no longer cares what anyone thinks about his honesty or sincerity anymore. Simon has had a massive fall. He is still 'up there' but he has really lost a lot of credibility at this time. |
