I'm all for teaching children the deiiferences in religion and cultures all over the world but to fill their head with far fetched stories at such a young age is just wrong IMO!
R.E is now a compulsory subject as well I believe; it is expected that she will learn the history of Christianity isnt it?

I dont know whether it is a religous school or how much they've taught about Christianity but I would have thought it would be made clear that Jesus was a bit of a special case?

They are just saying what is said in the Bible, you may personally believe it is far fetched stories but I doubt they will. Why would crucifixtion be far fetched anyway? Personally, I dont think you can ignore the reason behind these holidays. If you dont believe in God fair enough, but the whole point of Easter is supposed to be to celebrate Jesus' resurrection so it's not that surprising that it was mentioned in an Easter service
