Well, veterans are still treated like **** by the government. It's unconscionable that there are homeless service people.

Well a lot of them have addiction problems and/or mental/psychological problems...so their families kick them out (rightly so if they are a danger)

A lot of them had these problems BEFORE they joined the military.

What is the solution? put them in a mental asylum? They fought for our freedom, so how can we take away their freedom? I don't think that would be right.

It's a delicate subject. i don't know the answer but we should treat them with as much dignity as possible, and certainly there should be more resources available to them.

Are you implying that Mexico was any better before American companies arrived? It wasn't.

And i hate to burst yur bubble, but most of those same companies that went to Mexico, have now gone to China, leaving the Mexicans empty handed just like the American cities those companies originally came from. So serves the Mexicans right, they stole our jobs, and now China stole their jobs. That's karma.

I don't understand. Are you saying the American companies caused some kind of permanent enviornmental problem in Mexico?

I have no idea what you are referring to.

Do you have a specific case yu are talking about?
Or are you just talking out of yur butt?

I'm confused.

well you said america not California so maybe that's where confusion lay, from what I've seen most of the USA doesn't share that laid back, sunny, etc attitude and not all of Australia are like that either

That is simply NOT true! Many of them develop PTSD from being in the military.

It certainly IS true that many had psychological problems before joining the military. If it weren't true then why does the miitary specificlly target people with the advertising about "needing more discipline in your life". Which is basically code for "have you been confused and ****ed up for a while? can't find a job?? join the army!"

Of course once they are veterans they should receive as much help and treatment as is possible. I'm not saying that all, or even most recruits have psychological problems before they join.

I'm just saying, a lot do.

The bottom line is, anyone who serves this country should have access to the best healthcare in the world. Whatever congress's healthcare plan is, the soldiers should have the same healthcare access.

If it's good enuf for the congress, then it's good enuf for our soldiers i say.

One of my best friends from high school was half greek, and spent summers in Greece. she loved it. never had a bad word to say about it.

Eventually her greek grandma ended up coming to live with her here in the US, and she was the sweetest old woman ever.

I don't know much about emigrating to Greece, but i can testify that old Greek ladies are awesome She'd always make inapropriate sexual jokes, and pinch my ass and stuff lol. And she made the best baklava this side of the atlantic :P

I think I will be doing the exact same thing my parents did: to get the hell out of the country. That's why I've been learning many languages since I was a little boy because I can't see myself living in France, it's not right for me.

The country I need to live is the UK. I fell in love with this country when I lived there for a bit then I went back numerous times. It feels like home you know what I'm saying ?
It's not perfect, fair enough, the weather is 150% different from the Southern French one but there is something that belongs to me there.

So yes, I'm doing studies that will allow me to live there in a very, very near future.

i thought countries in the EU you can emigrate freely? so what's stopping you?

I thought one of the main reasons for the EU was that people could move around the same way people in the US can move from state to state freely right?

Why don't you just move then? France and Ireland are both in the EU, so you can move to the UK if you want right?

What's stopping you?

I can't imagine the US having borders between each state, that would be crazy.

I think the EU is good for allowing everyone in europe to move more freely. It would really suck being stuck in just one european country you were born in, and not being able to move if you wanted to.
