You would probably see someone saying 'Hello' or 'Hey' in The Loft, obviously we have to know they are there to engage conversation with them.

But no one goes into a random thread and posts 'hi lol' because every thread in Chat and Games, other than The Loft is for people to discuss a certain topic, do you know what I mean?

I do get what you are saying.

But in reality it doesnt happen like that. nearly every thread turns into a general chit chat thread/argument/gif war.

As I said earlier, if people would be willing to meet us halfway (eg. Stop taking nearly every thread off topic, or spamming gifs) then it would be more likely that post count would be added back.
