I should imagine it's more to do with the horrendous security measures that would be required to protect the President of the most hated country in the world from assassination, and all the intrusiveness that would entail, as well as attracting an increased security risk for the royal couple themselves.

As it is President Obama is on a State Visit at the end of May at which he will be staying with Queen at Buck House. Will he have changed colour by then?

Have Presidents ever been invited before? I think George Bush was invited to a Royal wedding before?

I doubt the Obamas care at all, since President Obama has made no secret of his dislike of the British and in particular of our monarchy. His visit in May is as Head of State, and the Queen is our Head of State, so he will have to swallow his dislike of all things British and will just have to put up with the pomp, ceremony and luxurious surroundings of Buck House when he stays over - it's a hard life!
