I should imagine it's more to do with the horrendous security measures that would be required to protect the President of the most hated country in the world from assassination, and all the intrusiveness that would entail, as well as attracting an increased security risk for the royal couple themselves.

Have Presidents ever been invited before? I think George Bush was invited to a Royal wedding before?

I don't know if the Obamas care too much. They might miss a holiday to Dubai or suming. Disgrace, they'll never elect a black person again. Just kidding
