I found out today that I was an accident. I feel really strange now. It's as if I shouldn't be here. I was also told that when my mum was 18 she had an abortion. which is also strange. Is it weird that I feel kind of guilty?

My mum got pregnant with me 3 months after she had my brother so I presume I was but she insists I wasn't.

You're not alone! It wasn't till I was 19 and applying for my first passport that I discovered my parents were married only 6 months before I was born! My mum was a roman catholic and I guess the family must have put pressure on them to get married - it just wasn't done in those days to have illegitimate children so, yes, I felt a bit guilty particularly as theirs wasn't a particularly happy marriage. Mind you, they went on to have three more kids!

I wasn't, I came 10 years after the next older Brother to me, my Mum thought I was indigestion at first. I think they are glad they had me now though.

I think I was.
It doesn't matter if you was planned or not. Well I suppose it does a bit. If you decide to have the baby then obviously your mum and dad love you.. no matter what! A lot of things can't be planned. Especially for people who really want kids but takes them months or years to conceive! |
