Either this forum is very fickle or there's been a huge turnover in new members.

Yes!

You can change the eye (as it does every year anyway) but as proved by CBB7 and kinda BB11. You can change the house as proved by BB3 when BB first moved to Elstree. Sadly you can even replace Davina as she doesn't want to come back and Emma did a good job that time on BBBM and Dermot on BB:CH.

BUT you cannot change the opening titles or Marcus Bentley because his voice and that tune are so recogniseable with UK BB. If every single thing changed it'd no longer be the show we all watched.

although I don't think he's as irreplaceable as some suggest. It's not like he brings personality into it. He does his voiceover in a very matter of fact way. It's his accent that makes him distinctive.

Unlike the guy who does Come dine with me who actually stamps his personality on his voiceovers.

In theory anyone could replace Marcus just as someone will have to replace Davina but what makes him different to her was that he did TBB and BB:CH as well. He's been there for every series apart from the Panto series which was a drastic difference and IMO what I'd always imagined a C5 version would have looked like before now.

If you compare Marcus' narrations of BB1 and BB11 its clear he became more comfortable in his job as he really went overboard to emphasise some word with his accent. Back in BB3 when all 12 HMs were up for eviction in week 1 it was pretty standard and simple when he read out the names and phone numbers in comparison to later years when he'd go to greater lengths to emphasise "For SAAAM call *Insert number here* ELEH-VENNN!" It was like he was climaxing
