They told me I couldnt close the account until I paid the £300. I snapped my card and threw it on the floor in the bank and flounced out...like a real badass

I do too. They passed it on to debt collection places now though.
I want them to take me to court tbh. And Im hoping the courts would see how pathetic natwest are being on their end. I offered to repay the 3 quid odd..plus pay ONE set of charges, which was about £28 IIRC...but they wouldnt even take that

If it's just council tax he just needs to ring them. They'll split the debt over the year is all. I've owed them well over that before
