I would actually laugh if Emma Crosby got a job on BBC Breakfast
ITV screwed up by not giving her Katie Derham's job on ITV London and Lunchtime News |

Flag shagger.

Nine men and only two women. Things haven't moved on much, have they.
Is there anyone in the world who likes Chris Moyles? I'd be interested to know, because I've never met anyone who has anything but contempt for him. |

Remembering Kerry

[QUOTE=arista;4375918]Today some BBC staff are on Strike.
They can for me, the BBC is miles away from the great presentation it used to be. I also don't like Chris Moyles Livia, never have. I also wish the BBC was forced to wake up as to its future, while it does still do most sporting events to near perfection, and is really good on documentaries,it has faded massively from its past glory days. I wish some political party would take on board a policy to at last get rid of the, what I have heard termed, dinosaur tax, as to the licence fee. When the time comes for me to leave home after Uni,I will begrudge every single penny I have to spend on the daft TV licence, in this day and age in this Country it is ridiculous that all households have to buy a TV Licence for the privilege of having a TV,simply because of the BBC. Scrap it, force the BBC to live in the real World for a change. Last edited by joeysteele; 15-07-2011 at 12:28 PM. |

BBC director general Mark Thompson
has been accused of showing "complete and utter contempt" after he told BBC staff members who face possible redundancy: "No one is forcing you to stay." from here http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011...-mark-thompson Times Are Hard he is telling them to take the cuts or leave. Sign Of The Times |

My old thread
More Cutbacks at the BBC to come. Ref : for Kate who posted this on her thread What do you think of the BBC? What are your opinions on the good old BBC? Happy with them? Or do you, like me, think they should be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern age? Given a metaphorical boot up the backside? Major crime number 1: The TV Licence. It's outdated and ridiculous, should have been abolished long since, only they seem to think they are too highbrow for adverts, which would bring in so much more revenue as well. I refuse to pay it, never have, and never will if I have my way. Another massive faux pas they have made recently is The Voice. I was excited for this, but they've made a complete bollocks of the whole thing. The voting system is a shambles, and thus there is no excitement, no vibe for the results at all, as by the time they are broadcast we've already known the results for almost 24 hours. SMH. Plus by only opening votelines for less than an hour they are missing the chance of making loads of revenue. Fools. Thoughts? Last edited by arista; 27-05-2012 at 11:09 PM. |
