On the subject of this, my opine is completely different...and so is my view point. Aaron and Faye's relationship, although filled with complexity, has much substance and depth. You have two reasonably intelligent people who are capable of these dynamics...as opposed to the simplicity of Jay and Louise' relationship...which consits mainly of them, quite happily, thriving on lust and mutual banal conversation.
