It was a silly comment but I think they were refering to mental abuse. He does mess with Faye's head but she seems to like the on/off relationship. I had a cousin who would only date men like Aaron. They weren't physically abusive but they messed her around emotionally. She wasn't attracted to men that treated her nicely.
