Yea I think it's the context the word is used in. If friends are saying in a fun and friendly way, I think it's a good word.
But when it's used as an insult or in a derogatory way, then that's wrong. |

Well the thing is that means every country, race, gender, and sexuality would have to feel shame for stuff that someone or some people did in the past, imo that should not be allowed, even the Germans should be let off for what Hitler did.

Why, because when they use it is not racist, it is just another insult.

She used the word, said she and her friends would say it in a friendly way. And BB kicked her out anyway. |

I remember that, she should have got a warning for it but as she didn't mean it in an offensive way she should never have been chucked out imo.

i disagree, she moved in circles where it was said as a positive....it was only the media spotlight that changed it.

It's a common sense. The fact she didn't know this shows me her black friends didn't educate her on the word properly or she made up that she uses it all the time.

No offence to you intended here, you clearly don't know the black people I know. Yes, not all will use it or agree with it, but many of the them do use it.

Its mixed messages, it was acceptable in her social group. If it is so derogatory and so offensive why is it used? You don't get any other groups using a discriminatory word in general conversation. In Bradford I would never hear 'Hi taj my p***! how are you?

Did you state that in your comment, I believe not. You merely said groups, not ethnic groups, so don't play pedantic with me.
