That's not the point. The meals aren't good value for money at all. There's hardly any food in them!

Kids need healthy food. Like meat and vegetables for example. And fruit.

I agree. I wouldn't want my nephews to eat that rubbish.

School dinners in my country are healthy. They offer a good menu. At least it's not processed crap.

That meal is just a bunch of empty calories and chemicals.

The day they had soup though, I would say that was a more fair meal...as its a lot healthier than the others (ignoring the clumped together pasta )

Pasta can be healthy, but it has to be simple.

Maybe because she gets fed well at home.

Its really not the point though. I fail to see why people are happy for children to be fed this crap when murderers and the likes are better fed.

Ah well, at least the prisoners are healthy, will stop people bleating about their human rights and that

Yes, the parents of this particular child could probably afford to just switch to packed lunches (and I dont see why they havent tbh...though personally I think a hot meal is healthier), but a lot cant...as they get the school meals for free. And yes, some get school meals for free because the parents are nothing but workshy scroungers, but many are in that situation through no fault of their own...no reason for their kids to have to eat what I, to be quite honest, wouldnt feed to a dog.

The quantity there is probably enough for a 9 year old, but the quality is not. I doubt a piece of fruit costs much more than an icelolly...if it was healthy stuff instead of just empty calories I doubt so many people would be pissed off by this. And the teachers have the nerve to complain about kids being hyperactive or lethargic...feeding them this **** wont help things at all

Luckily its not in all schools...thats the one good thing about it all.

I know. They need fruit and vegetables. Not fast food!
