This is a mammoth operation. Never have I seen an entire day's programming dedicated to one event/show before. Wow.

For someone with absolutely no interest in most sports and indeed the Olympics, I'm actually excited. Incredible.

According to the Telegraph: "All of the regular BBC One programming will switch to BBC Two."

Big Brother is going to be absolutely battered by this. I'm expecting quite a few dips under a million for some shows.

To be honest with this amount of coverage, I can't see many of the other channels competing successfully.

Because, despite the media hype and the prospect of consumer frenzy, I, for one, am not a mug, mark or punter .....

I will not pay a penny towards, nor positively support in any other way, the gross financial expenditure and covert political statements of the modern "so-called" Olympic Games .....

It's a small protest but ultimately satisfying .....

So impressed with their coverage, the 24 channels on Sky/Red Button are great and the player on the BBC Sport website is very useful. I love the little sports explanation VT's as well which explain the rules of certain sports incase you don't know a lot about them. Also love those 3D London flyovers of all the different venues, and the presenters, commentators and pundits have been great.

Honestly really impressed...and for someone that's never watched the Olympics before, I'm hooked.
