well if you don't think there is a conspiracy, then why was she found innocent? If you believe she is guilty, then i assume you believe there is a conspiracy as far as you think the American government got involved in some way to ensure her release. that is a conspiracy theory.

Because courts can sometimes get it wrong, presumably you thought they were wrong to find her guilty originally, so were you a "conspiracy theorist" when you thought that?

no, because i didn't claim it was a conspiracy, i said i just think the tabloids influenced the first trial, and i think xenophobia against Americans influenced the first trial. as Italy does not sequester jurys, the jury was free to read all of the tabloid trash during the entire trial.

It was a failure of the Italian justice system, but thankfully the Italian justice system has a much more legitimate appeals process. in fact the appeal was more professionally executed than the original trial. imo.

It's also important to remember that Italy has the exact opposite justice system to the US and UK, in that you are presumed guilty until proven innocent.

I'm not claiming it was a conspiracy either, I just think there wasn't enough evidence to be sure and the Italian police made serious mistakes during their investigation so they couldn't be 100% confident to uphold the verdict, but I don't rule out the possibility that she did do it, the Kercher family are still waiting for justice and still don't know what happened that night

Well the Kerchers do know what happened that night. A man named Rudy Guede (who has a past history of knife violence) broke into meredith's room, then raped and killed her.

The man that killed their daughter is already in jail serving a sentence for his crime against their daughter.

If they cannot accept the truth, well that is unfortunate for them. Amanda should not be punished for the sake of the Kerchers though.
