I would have thought it was too late, and I've already signed a contract to be filming on the 1st of August, so that would just be a very frustrating development if they did ask me. I think the theory that they will use the White Room to whittle down surplus HMs before the end of the series is the most likely, as there have been no walkers (though in that case, they may be underestimating their determination to stay unless the White Room is a very effective "applied stress" tactic).
