I don't think that's true. He may have had support on DS and this forum, but he wasn't universally liked and he was not liked at all by the viewing public. The entire time last year's BB was on, I didn't meet a single person who watched the show who liked him.
Aaron only won because his fans block voted him on FB where it was so cheap last year. He is the only 'winner', to date, who has been booed by the crowds on the final night. He wasn't booed for the sake of booing either. He was booed for his selfish and obnoxious behaviour in the house. Him slagging off his ex wife and son and then using them to curry favour with the viewers didn't go down too well either.
I'll be fair to him, as much as I loathe him, he wasn't the only unpleasant HM in last year's BB. Sticking in insipid HMs like Aaron, Anton, Conor, Becky, Ashleigh et al., seems to be what BB is, unfortunately, all about these days, or perhaps it's just a sad reflection of British & Irish 18-30s nowadays?
