Seems like I got this wrong, thought common sense would prevail and this would blow over after the apologies. But now it looks like the Minister in question has resigned over this. He was almost certainly pushed and I wonder what was used as leverage in this case. Perhaps he was promised a way back in after the next re-shuffle. Still think its odd that he actually resigned over this.

Its the fact he lied about it that killed him if he had been honest and apoligised he would have been fine but thats not natural to a tory.
