Me and my lad got turned away from a gay bar once for being straight...was quite irritating and he quite rightly asked the bouncer if it would be ok for us to turn away a gay couple from our bar (well it wasnt our bar, but his dads...same thing really) then our mates who were with us (who are gay...the reason we were out round the gay bars in the first place) joined in and started having a go at the bouncer too saying he was being ridiculous.
Thats been the only problems ever on the gay scene though. Much better night than round the 'straight' bars IMO. You get no trouble or anything and the atmosphere is generally much better.
