I dont know why people think Matt isn't doing well,just because he isn't number one or in everyones face all the time doesn't mean he is doing nothing he is about to start an unplugged tour which is already sold out in some places so obviously his fans are still with him,and is very busy,so although he pulled away from Sycho.he is doing what he wants and doing well,as for James Arthur who knows,only time will tell but personally i think he is way overrated and he doesnt appeal to me,but,a smile from him might help

I agree with every word you said.
James has the talent, but you also need personality and charisma, and James isn't big on either.
