Tbh I don't remember a huge amount from pre-a level, certainly not any knowledge that I'd use, although I do still carry with me stuff I learned doing a level literature, history and economics

How much of that will you need to use post-university, though?

Well I think a solid knowledge of economics is always helpful and helps you understand a lot of things, same with history. It's not always just about specific details as well, the majority of school subjects give you a lot of practical skills which you use in everyday life

Yeah, exactly. Those are natural strengths of mine but it's absolutely true that nearly all of it is abstract, unnecessary tedium...it's a shame as maths is actually essential for life in general but schools are likely to weed out pupils rather than focus on what actually matters.

I still steal lunch money from people, so I'd say I retained the important stuff.

I remember every symbol I'm the periodic table which is useful in pub quizzes and still know quite a lot of Latin. Oh and biology too.

I don't remember a lot of German and maths was a complete waste if time.

Nearly all of my GCSE maths knowledge, like algebra and all the shapes stuff, I've largely forgotten because well.. I never have and never will need to use that in everyday life. I've forgotten nearly all the chemistry, physics and biology stuff I was taught at GCSE too.

The only stuff I really remember from GCSE is all the english stuff and geography stuff but that's what I was most interested in at the time. I'm doing A-Levels now so I can't really comment on that yet really.

I can remember my Electronics, probably because that was my favourite and the subjects that I've built upon and doing at A Levels - I can obviously remember. **** like French and History though have gone straight out the window. I don't really think you can forget English..

Not a lot, just random titbits really. Considering I studied Irish for 14 years I remember about 5 words of it, ditto French for 6 years. That's probably because I didn't want to remember them though.

not alot! maths is the most pointless subject ever, i think. considering you do like ten years worth of stuff... the only things worth knowing are the adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing.
