No Thoros brought back Beric (the guy who fought the hound and lost but came back to life again) The thing about Stannis being that Messiah reborn was a vision Melisandre had. There's a story about who that Messiah was in the book, here's a shortened version :

It is said that during the midst of The Long Night, Azor Ahai rose up and defeated the Others, wielding a sword of fire, called Lightbringer.
