It was very sad but 2 ways of looking at it really, nothing was going to change and he was many times greatly distressed and frustrated at the things he now couldn't do.

I learned a great deal from him though as to realising the little problems that turn up in my life were nothing compared to all he went through and still he tried his best to carry on and give a smile too.
